WE ONLY SEE
SHE’S GONE
PEPPER
Aug. 1994 –
Nov. 2007

Our best
friend, Pepper, has left us now
Her spirit
lingers on
But when we
look around our house
We only see
she’s gone
We feel her
spirit on her pillow
We feel her
run and chase the ball
We feel her anxiously
announce “cookie time”
Then hear
her barking call
We feel her
spirit hold “tiger” tight
We feel her
prance when we come home
But when we
look around our house
We only see
she’s gone
We hurt to
have watched her age and grow old
We hurt when
we helped her from the floor
Our hearts
are sad each time we come home
We hurt not
to see her anymore
We love our
Pepper and had thirteen great years
Her
unconditional love only saw we did no wrong
We hold her
spirit and memories close to heart
But when we
look around our house we only see she’s gone.
