This is Candy. She is an amazing 5 year-old dog and I'll tell you why: - Candy is fully house-trained, crate-trained and knows how to sit, lay down, stay, shake, "high-five" and balance a treat on her nose. - Candy smiles when you pet her (sooo cute and rewarding!). - Candy has never chewed anything of ours (her foster parents) except her own toys and bones, which she loves for you to play with. - Candy doesn't need a huge house or yard to live and play in (we're in an apartment), but I'm sure she'd love more places to sniff and sleep on, if that's the case for you. - Candy will follow you from room to room as you move around the house, because she just wants to be near you. - Candy loves jumping from rock-to-rock on the James, but hates swimming in it (no stinky wet-dog smell afterward!). - Candy could take a walk for hours if you were willing, but she's always ready to stop if you want. - Candy loves to walk through patches of spider grass--I call her "Jungle Dog"--but somehow knows never to go in people's nice, manicured gardens - Candy never, ever barks or whines unless she *really* needs to tell you something (i.e. "I need to go out!") or you're playing with her. - Candy loves every human she has ever met. - Candy farts and snores (just a little!), so you/your man/your roommate has someone else to blame it on. - Candy doesn't like 95% of other dogs or animals but, when you're out walking, she's so happy to sniff random things that she normally doesn't even notice them/ get bothered/ care. - Candy is a great cuddler on the couch. - Candy LOVES to ride in the car and will run circles around it until you open the door to let her in, but once she's in she settles down and will sleep most of the way through long car rides (and never complains when she is awake). - Candy will also sleep in the bed with you, if you want, but has learned that we don't like it and is happy to have her over-sized dog bed near us instead (she can learn new tricks!). - Candy will give you "kisses" or clean you off when you're "dirty" for as long as you will let her. - Candy will eat your vegetables for you (true!), if you offer them to her. ...And there are so many other wonderful things about Candy, you should come meet her in person
